- 2000- On 2nd May 2000, the selective availability was discontinued by people by providing users outside the US military, who got full quality signal.
- 2006- On 17th November, people in the aircraft sector introduced the most recent one.

It is crucial to receive alerts from all four servers. Even if the signs are accepted from 2 or 3 calls, the rider will not know the positioning perfectly. Certain factors can hinder getting proper signals, such as poor weather and storms. GPS servers give instructions in audio form. This part can distract the pilot sometimes and deviate them from nature and disturb them. GPS may cause a problem if there is a signal failure or low battery at times.
The implemented use of GPS tracking systems has increased safety in all manners. Previously there was more number of air accidents which we get to know through media. But Global Positioning System has helped in decreasing the number of air accidents. With the developed feature, it helped in consuming fuel and saving time and money. It also has certain drawbacks or limitations. Apart from constraints, the GPS tracking system of aircraft is more than efficient and has enhanced the aircraft positioning and helped get proper safety.
